Reminiscent of the early space satellites, the Sputnik is a three-dimensional, six-winged kite.The wings are held open by flexible fiberglass rods radiating from a central spoke. To assemble, simply connect each spar to the center hub and then to outside pockets in the wing-tips.
Cellular kites are steady fliers, but you can maneuver them too. Sputnik will dance at the end of your line. Tug on the string and it will rise sharply. Give slack and the kite will tumble playfully back.
